Join us in extending a warm welcome to Kelly Williams who joined MPI Georgia in February. She currently serves as the Executive Assistant to the EVP & President, Americas, SVP., Global Innovation & New Business and SVP Americas Finance, Travel Administrator & Event Planner at Graphic Packaging International.

Her career started at Air Atlanta in reservations and has included work in travel agencies, hotels, and car rental agencies. After leaving Uniglobe, Kelly became an administrative assistant where she has always taken on the task of event planning. She currently is an assistant to 4 executives along with serving as the Travel Administrator and Event Planner. The best event on which she has worked occurred this past January when the Coca-Cola Roxy hosted her company’s Honor’s event for 400 people. It included drinks, appetizers, a sit-down dinner, presentation, and a performance by Yacht Rock Revue as entertainment. “It included lots of planning details, but everything went great.”

Kelly says her coworkers would describe her as dedicated and supportive and also one who implements fun in her work. She also strives to always find the answer. As a best practice, Kelly recommends using a Project Plan which keeps all event details in one place and outlines what tasks still need to be completed.

Kelly’s family includes her 21-year-old son who is currently a senior at the College of Charleston. He is studying Business Administration and is also a left-handed pitcher on their baseball team. With traveling on hold right now, she dreams of visiting Fiji one day and staying in an overwater bungalow. However, her next desired work destination is retirement as it is only 10 years away.
