About MPI Kansas City

Meeting Professionals International is the largest meeting and event planner industry association worldwide. Founded in 1981, MPI Kansas City has over 150 members representing planners from the corporate, association, government, religious and non-profit sectors, as well as independent planners and suppliers. Members represent organizations within the greater Kansas City area, as well as affiliate members from various chapters around the country.

When you join MPI Kansas City, you become part of an organization dedicated to your personal and career success. Our chapter is a two-time, back-to-back global Rise Award winner (2022 and 2023), and recognized as a Chapter of Excellence. We work hard to provide the best education and networking opportunities to our membership and make sure that every member has an opportunity to be involved.

A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT:

I am truly honored to serve as your 2025 President and incredibly grateful for the team of VPs and Directors who are serving alongside me.

I’m excited to share that our chapter is thriving! Amid our recent renaissance, we’ve achieved record membership growth, unprecedented event attendance, and received multiple Chapter of Excellence and Rise Awards from MPI Global. Additionally, we’ve raised a record amount in sponsorship dollars, allowing us to reinvest in you, our members. I truly believe this is just the beginning!

We encourage you to get involved and have created new opportunities for you to do so. Shaping the future of our community requires all of us, and we hope you’ll increase your involvement by volunteering. We have a variety of committees and upcoming projects that could benefit from your skills and expertise. Volunteering offers more than just contributing your time – it’s an opportunity for personal growth and networking with your peers!
