Join MPI in the Fight Against Human Trafficking: Donate to Fresh Start Bags

In partnership with ReHope and the WARS Council—dedicated local stakeholders combating human trafficking—the Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Kansas City Chapter is proud to launch a vital initiative. We're committed to assembling 1,000 Fresh Start bags to support individuals rescued from modern-day slavery during the 2026 FIFA World Cup activities in the Kansas City metro area. This heartbreaking need is informed by guidance and estimates from local support agencies and law enforcement, highlighting the urgent reality of trafficking spikes during major events.

These Fresh Start bags offer essential personal care items to provide dignity, comfort, and a sense of renewal to survivors. Packed with care into practical drawstring backpacks, they'll be distributed by frontline workers directly to those in need.

How You Can Help: Donate Essential Items

We're collecting new, unopened donations of the following items from February 1 to April 30, 2026:

• Toothbrushes
• Toothpaste
• Full-size shampoo
• Full-size conditioner
• Bars of soap
• Combs
• Feminine products (pads or tampons)
• Deodorant
