About Our Chapter

Meeting Professionals International Middle PA (MPIMP) is a chapter for bringing event meeting planners and suppliers together. MPIMP understands that when people meet face-to-face, it empowers them to stand shoulder-to-shoulder. That’s why we lead Central Pennsylvania (and surrounding areas) in professional development that advances the meeting and event industry and the careers of the people in it. We connect the connectors so you can produce experiences that inspire, educate, and energize. 

MPIMP was chartered in June 2008 and has continually evolved, and advanced membership! We continue to elevate by sharing the importance of what we do with others around us! The chapter initiatives are spearheaded by the Executive Board and Board of Directors.

MPIMP has been a Top Performing Chapter of MPI for the last four years. For the last two years, our Chapter was a recipient of the MPI Global Overall Excellence award for the last two years, in addition to being a Top Performing Chapter.

A Message from the 2025 MPI Middle PA President

Dear MPI Middle Pennsylvania Members,

As we enter the final stretch of the year, I’m filled with gratitude for the incredible energy and engagement our chapter has shown. We’ve welcomed so many new members over the past few months, and it’s been inspiring to see how quickly you’ve jumped in, attended events, and shared ideas. To all of you—welcome to the MPI Middle PA family!

This month, we’re especially excited for our November Education Event at The Nittany Lion Inn, where we’ll have the opportunity to connect with Penn State hospitality students and showcase the power of our industry. Events like this remind us why MPI is so special—it's where learning, networking, and mentorship all come together.

If you’ve been thinking about getting more involved, this is the perfect time. We have active committees in membership, education, communications, and community outreach—all looking for fresh ideas and new faces. Joining a committee is one of the best ways to make meaningful connections and build leadership experience that carries well beyond MPI.

MPI has been such a significant part of my career journey, offering not just professional development, but a community of people who truly support one another. I hope each of you continues to explore all the opportunities MPI has to offer.
