The Legal Ramifications in Returning to Live Meetings & Meeting Planner and Supplier Roundtable Discussions

July 14, 2021
12:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Virtual Event
Organizer
MPIMP

MPIMP... you asked and we’re delivering.

As organizations and suppliers prepare to begin holding live meetings again, there are still a number of legal issues both groups must consider.  A top employment law attorney will begin the discussion by providing insights from a legal perspective.  Following the attorney, MPI will then host a roundtable to discuss best practices from both the meeting planner, and the supplier, perspectives.

The first session of the event will feature Shaun Henry, a top employment law attorney who will be providing insights from a legal perspective.

The second session follows with a meeting planner and supplier roundtable session facilitated to discuss best practices and perspectives from our industry colleagues.

Session 1 Highlight Summary:

The Legal Ramifications in Returning to Live Meetings

Schaun Henry, Partner, McNees Wallace & Nurick will discuss some of the following topics:

  • Attendee Mask policies
  • Vaccines and Event Requirements
  • Temperature checks at events
  • Liability of attendees contracting COVID at live events
  • Suggestions on hygiene protocols
  • Best practices and other legal issues to consider

Session 2 Highlight Summary:

Roundtable – Meeting Planner and Supplier Best Practices

  • Meeting planner speaker
  • Hotel representative

Now that we understand more about legal precautions we should consider, let’s discuss some best practices groups should adopt as they begin to host live meetings. From each perspective we will hear about some best practice protocols all groups should consider, then open this up for an interactive session with the audience.
