Picture this – the day is finally here! It’s day 1 of a 3-day conference you have been counting down to since the entertainment-filled agenda was released months ago. You walk into the welcoming reception at the elegant hotel, wearing your best business attire. To your left are a row of vendor booths, offering 50/50 tickets to win a variety of high-end prizes. To your right, a huge monitor runs a PowerPoint presentation on loop, paired to a catchy Bruno Mars song. On the main stage is a large marquee showing the lineup for tonight’s entertainment. What a space to walk into!

Did you know that along with the creative and logistical side of planning a conference, comes contracts, licensing, and other legal obligations planners are obligated to follow? During today’s session, our panelist will share with you the answers to questions like those below, as well as some of the most sought-after entertainment law questions in our post-pandemic world.

  • Are musicians responsible for the Public Performance fees when performing at our event?
  • What changes to entertainment contracts and other event contracts have you seen since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic?
  • Can alcohol be part of a raffle?

Join us on Wednesday April 5, 2023, at the Eden Resort in Lancaster to learn more about entertainment event law and how you can prepare and plan an unforgettable entertainment experience for your attendees, all while protecting yourself, your company, stakeholders, and clients alike.

Community Service Project:
GSHPAnewlogo_unofficial

Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania with over 16,000 members and spanning 30 counties, seeks your support in building girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.

Volunteer opportunities: Do know a woman who is seeking the opportunity to impact a young girl towards becoming a girl of courage, confidence and character?

Why Girl Scouts? What is the Girl Scout Leadership Experience?  The Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) hinges on experiences that invite girls to discover, connect, and take action.  Through the GSLE experience, a girl develops the following 5 outcomes:

  • Strong Sense of Self:  A girl who has confidence in herself and her abilities, and forms positive identities.
  • Positive Values: A girl who acts ethically, honestly, and responsibly and shows concern for others.
  • Challenge Seeking: A girl who takes appropriate risks and tries things even if they might fail and learns from mistakes.
  • Healthy Relationships: A girl who develops and maintains healthy relationships by communicating her feelings directly and resolving conflicts constructively.
  • Community Problem Solving:  A girl who desires to contribute to the world in purposeful and meaningful ways, learning how to identify problems in the community, and creating “action plans” to solve them.

Learn more about these opportunities, and more, from Lutricia Eberly, GSHPA Chief Membership Officer, and previous MPIMP President, on April 5.
