When it comes to efforts to make events more inclusive and welcoming, supplier diversity and buying local are key to achieving ripples of impact in host communities. Unfortunately there are significant barriers to driving real change: costs, contracts, capacity, and chaos. After years of pushing for change and impatient and unsatisfied with the lack of results, a cohort of industry change makers, led by our speaker, convened to identify solutions.
