Jennifer Mell, CMP
Greta McCue, CHSL

Breakout:  No Panels, No PowerPoints: Real Conversations on Industry Hot Topics

Jennifer Mell, CMP — though she’ll tell you right away to call her Jen or Jennie, like everyone else does—has spent more than 25 years in the events industry after a “happy accident” at a job fair steered her into the business. She’s done it all: hotels, weddings, AV and production, corporate planning, and third-party agency life—so yes, she’s definitely “gotten around” in the industry and worked in a variety of environments.

Today, Jen is a Senior Sourcing Manager with Your Event Solutions, a division of ALTOUR Travel, where she scours the globe for the perfect venues and negotiates the best terms for her clients—all while keeping strong partnerships with hotels and venues. She’s also a long-time member and volunteer with Meeting Professionals International, serves on the Advisory Council for Milwaukee Area Technical College’s Event Management program, and has proudly held her CMP since 2011.

While she enjoys traveling the world for work, she’s a home-body at heart and the vision of her cabin’s front porch is never far from her mind.

Greta McCue, CHSL is the Assistant Director of Sales at Hyatt Regency Milwaukee and has proudly called Milwaukee home for the past decade. A northern Illinois native turned enthusiastic Milwaukeean, she brings more than 20 years of hospitality experience spanning from CVB work to both hotel operations and sales. Greta has partnered with clients of every type and size, navigated just about every scenario, and led high performing sales teams with equal parts strategy and heart. Her blend of operational know how and destination-focused experience gives her a uniquely inclusive and well-rounded perspective in a sales leadership role.

When she’s not championing her hotel, Greta is often on the road representing her city at trade shows with Visit Milwaukee — a role that lets her flex her passion for selling not just a property, but an entire city. She’s committed to building genuine relationships rooted in trust and transparency, and she prides herself on being a true advisor to her clients.

Greta holds her CHSL (Certified Hotel Sales Leader) certification, serves as the current VP of Membership for MPI Wisconsin, and is an active member of the PCMA Midwest and Capital Chapters.
