Jennifer Mell, CMPBreakout: No Panels, No PowerPoints: Real Conversations on Industry Hot Topics
Jennifer Mell, CMP — though she’ll tell you right away to call her Jen or Jennie, like everyone else does—has spent more than 25 years in the events industry after a “happy accident” at a job fair steered her into the business. She’s done it all: hotels, weddings, AV and production, corporate planning, and third-party agency life—so yes, she’s definitely “gotten around” in the industry and worked in a variety of environments.
Today, Jen is a Senior Sourcing Manager with Your Event Solutions, a division of ALTOUR Travel, where she scours the globe for the perfect venues and negotiates the best terms for her clients—all while keeping strong partnerships with hotels and venues. She’s also a long-time member and volunteer with Meeting Professionals International, serves on the Advisory Council for Milwaukee Area Technical College’s Event Management program, and has proudly held her CMP since 2011.
While she enjoys traveling the world for work, she’s a home-body at heart and the vision of her cabin’s front porch is never far from her mind.
