Member Recognition

The Meeting Industry Advocate award will be presented to a member whose actions consistently promote the meetings industry in Wisconsin. The award recipient also encourages the growth and image of our industry through education, personal, professional support, or advocacy. 

Criteria for this award:

• Current MPI-WI member
• Not a member of the board during the award time frame
  

The Team of the Year award will be presented to an entire team who has exemplified team spirit by working together to successfully accomplish the goals which serve our chapter and industry.

Criteria for this award:

• Team can be an official chapter committee, chapter special project, fundraising, or monthly meeting team. 
• Work completed during award time frame.
• May be nominated by a team lead or the membership at large.
  

The Rising Star Award is presented to a newer member of MPI-Wisconsin who has become an active part of our organization.  This award is designed to recognize an individual whose time and efforts show a desire to serve our chapter an industry, putting them on a potential path to be one of our next leaders.

Criteria for this award:  

• MPI-WI membership in good standing for at least 3 months at the start of the award period, but not more than 3 years at the end of the award period.
• The awarded member has demonstrated service in MPI-WI by volunteering for a team, working on a specialty project, etc.
  

The Supplier of the Year award is the top award for suppliers. The recognized supplier demonstrates dedication and a commitment to our chapter and industry. This award is a tribute to the recipient's chapter service and professional endeavors. 

Criteria for this award: 

• Must be an MPI-WI member for a minimum of 3 consecutive years at the start of the award period.
• Served or currently serves as a team member, team chair, board member, or volunteer during the award period.
• Has not received this award from our chapter during the past five award periods.
  

The Planner of the Year award is the top award for planners.  The recognized planner demonstrates innovation, dedication, and commitment to excellence. This award is a tribute to the recipient's chapter service and professional endeavors.

Criteria for this award: 

• Must be an MPI-WI member for a minimum of 3 consecutive years at the start of the award period.
• Served as a team member, team chair or volunteer during the award period.
• Has not received this award from our chapter during the past five award periods.
  

This accolade honors a member who has served above and beyond in a meaningful way. This is an optional recognition, bestowed solely at the discretion of either the current president or immediate past president.

Criteria for this award:

• Member in good standing.
  

This is a prestigious award given to a member who has had a significant impact on our chapter and industry. The Board of Directors selects the recipient for this award and is not necessarily given out each year. 

Criteria

• Member in good standing of MPI-WI for at least 10 years at the time of the award receipt.
• Consistently Involved in chapter meetings and activities
• History of service to our chapter as board member, committee lead, committee member, or other volunteer service. 
• Has not previously received this award from our chapter.
• Not a member of the board during the voting period.
• HOF recipient is not eligible for other individual award during the same award period, but may be awarded for a group effort; for example Team of the Year.
