March 16, 2020

An Update from the MPI-CC Board of Directors:

Due to the current environment, we have canceled the March Chapter Meeting. Our members' safety, health, and wellbeing are our top priority.

  • To slow the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and reduce the number of people infected, Gov. Roy Cooper on March 14 issued Executive Order 117, which mandates that organizers of events that draw more than 100 people cancel, postpone or modify these events or offer online streaming services. Source: NCDHHS

  • The CDC, in accordance with its guidance for large events and mass gatherings, recommends that for the next 8 weeks, organizers (whether groups or individuals) cancel or postpone in-person events that consist of 50 people or more throughout the United States. Source: CDC

We realize that for many, the cancellation of this meeting means a loss of an opportunity for CE hours. Our Education Committee is already working on solutions to provide additional CE at the remainder of our 2020 meetings to make up for the loss.

In the meantime, we encourage you to take advantage of the MPI Academy

If you are currently registered for the March Meeting, the MPI-CC office will take care of canceling your registration and issuing a full refund. Please bear with us during this process.

We know this is a stressful time for the industry; hang in there! We will get through this together.
