Our strong and vibrant MPI chapter relies upon the dedication and outstanding service of our volunteers to allow us to continuously address the changing needs of our members. You have a great opportunity to build your professional skill set, expand your network and contribute to the long-term success of the Carolinas meeting industry.

The Nominations Committee is seeking candidates to serve as officers and directors on the 2025 Board of Directors taking office on January 1, 2025 until December 31, 2025. The following positions are open for nomination:

• (1) President-Elect: One-year term, with automatic succession to President in 2026
• (5) Vice Presidents: One-year term 
• (1) Directors: One-year term

The Board of Directors is currently composed of 9 chapter members (8 officers and 1 director). The 2023-2024 President, Najauna White will become the Immediate Past President and 2023-2024 President-Elect, Nicole Filippo will take office as the 2025 MPI-CC President.

Criteria for Applicants
Any non-student member in good standing is eligible to apply. The Nominations Committee will use the following criteria in considering candidates:

• Willingness and ability to fulfill the obligations of office in the capacity indicated
• History of involvement, accomplishment and dependable service to MPI or the chapter
• Desire to contribute time, energy, support and creativity to the chapter with consent of employer 
• Leadership, business and management experience outside of MPI 
• Completed application and Commitment Form (see below)
• Results of phone or personal interview if applicable

The deadline for Board applications is Friday, May 17, 2024.

Members of the Nominations Committee will request interviews with all candidates beginning May 6, 2024. The committee will recommend one candidate per position on a slate that will be presented to the membership in July, and if no positions are contested, elected candidates will take office on January 1, 2025.
