CMP Study Group

The Study Group:

The CMP Study Group is comprised of educational sessions exclusively focused on the study and review of CIC’s International Standards (CMP-IS), as well as the purpose of earning Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to become a Certified Meeting Professional. This program currently meets once a week for (8) weeks and covers the (9) different domains specified in CMP-IS defined by the CMP governing body, the Events Industry Council (EIC) 


Facilitated by local MPI Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter CMP industry experts, each session guides participants through the Domains of the EIC CMP Handbook. Participants will gain a better understanding of the materials to help prepare for the CMP exam. The class structure is a mixture of interactive discussions, review quizzes and mock tests, group activities, and relevant presentations. Other elements of the CMP Study Group that participants will benefit from including the CMP Buddy program, the CMP Panel discussion, weekly class briefings, guidance on the CMP application, general information about the exam process, and a CMP exam study day.

Need help with  exam preparation? Then consider registering to join the MPI D/FW Chapter CMP Study Group. While the class has pivoted to a virtual setting, the chapter is still committed to supporting industry peers who strive to obtain their CMP certification. As a result of hosting a virtual experience, the class is now open to other city MPI chapter members and non-MPI chapter members near and far.
