Planner of the Year

Planner of the Year: Presented to a D/FW planner member for substantial contributions to the D/FW Chapter and the meetings industry. This person in their professionalism and dedication furthers the aims of MPI and its members, our Chapter, and our vision, and serves as a role model to others. The selection of the award recipient is based their activity from May 1 - April 30. This member must have contributed his or her time, energy, and experience to the MPI D/FW Chapter with at least five (5) years of membership and service.

Past Planner of the Year Award recipients will be eligible to receive the award again after 5 years. A change in a member’s classification to Planner will cause them to only become eligible once they have been a Planner Member for 12 consecutive months and a Chapter member for at least five (5) years. The current President, Immediate Past–President, and President Elect are not eligible for this award. If a member has previously been awarded Planner or Supplier of the Year, has switched member classifications, and is nominated, their Nomination Submission Form must show their new classification start date. For consideration by the Awards Nominating Committee (ANC), the candidate must meet the minimum requirements that would be required of any other candidate in the category. Once the minimum requirements are met, the ANC should consider the aggregate of the candidates’ contributions within the Chapter and industry May 1 - April 30. The award recipient serves as an ANC Co-chair starting the next term after the Awards of Excellence Event. The ANC will vote on this award.
