Natisha Raines AWC Management, Vice President of Customer Success Joined MPI GA: May 2024
|
MPI Georgia welcomes Natisha Webb Raines. Natisha is a seasoned leader who blends operational excellence with a deep commitment to service and style. She currently serves as Vice President of Customer Success at AWC Management, where she oversees the company’s strategic initiatives focused on customer engagement, property performance, and daily operations.
A proud alumna of Georgia State University, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism before going on to receive an MBA from Strayer University — a foundation that sharpened her skills in both communication and business leadership.
In May 2024, she joined MPI Georgia after enrolling in the University of Georgia’s Event Planning and Meeting Management program. From day one, her instructor, Abby Freeman, recommended the organization as a hub for industry connection and inspiration — a recommendation that proved invaluable.
Her journey into events began in 2001, when she was asked to plan a large wedding, despite having no prior experience. Her natural sense of style, attention to detail, and grace under pressure made the event a resounding success and opened the door to more opportunities.
Although event planning isn’t a primary responsibility in her current role, she has applied her talents across a number of leadership positions. As Chief Attraction Officer and Marketing Director at Atlanta Life, she managed signature events and corporate meetings, as well as overseeing rental operations for the company’s auditorium, atrium, and dining spaces. Later, as Executive Director of the National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association, she coordinated large-scale annual gatherings — including board meetings, a House of Representatives, the 40 & Under Leadership Summit, and the Annual International Convention, each hosted in a different city. Her love for travel, exploration, and venue sourcing made every event not just functional but unforgettable.
If there were ever a theme song to capture her essence, it would be Mary Mary’s “It’s the God in Me.” Those who know her say she owns any room she enters — with confidence, charisma, and an undeniable presence. What they may not see is the faith that grounds her. What shines through is not just talent or ambition — it’s divine purpose...
With unlimited resources, her dream would be to open a plush, state-of-the-art meeting and event center designed to accommodate everything from corporate summits to fraternity and sorority gatherings — a space that is as inspiring as the people who use it.
At the center of her life is family. She is deeply grateful for the love and sacrifices of her parents, who instilled in her and her two brothers a commitment to education, faith, and excellence. Her husband of six years (who has been her best friend for 35 years) is her biggest cheerleader — a talented partner who supports her in every endeavor.
And yes — she’s also a collector. Since 1999, she’s had a passion for handbags, building a collection so extensive it required creative home modifications. It’s a little obsession. She chuckles, "Maybe one day I’ll slow down... MAYBE!"
