MPI Georgia was well-represented at the Atlanta Community Food Bank(ACFB) sorting day on Saturday, July 29, 2017. Our volunteers had a great time connecting with other ACFB volunteers, in addition to helping out the Atlanta community.
During our three hour shift, we sorted 9,603 pounds of food. This completely filled up 360 cardboard boxes that will result in 6,311 meals for the community. It was a wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon. If you haven’t volunteered with the food bank in the past, you must make plans to join us. It’s a feel good volunteer experience and great way to interact with your fellow members.
We hope you will be able to support our MPI Georgia designated non-profit, the ACFB, throughout the year. More volunteer opportunities will be announced in the coming months.
