Owner/DJ, Hollon Yarborough, calls AMP’D: “A creative DJ Company run by music lovers for music lovers.” The team specializes in crafting custom and highly personalized entertainment experiences for their clients offering lighting, videography, photo booths, signage, monograms and, of course, music.

“The technical creativity and personal attention that we offer our clients is unquestionably the biggest reason people seek us out… it’s rare to find someone who can deliver both,” says Yarborough. AMP’D Entertainment plans every event from scratch building soundtracks that are specially crafted for weddings, corporate events, fundraisers, etc. Recently, the team provided entertainment for the 35th Anniversary of the Hunger Walk/Run which has long been a favorite MPI Georgia community fundraiser. This was the tenth year that AMP’D has supported this event. “We believe strongly in supporting non-profits and good causes.”

The leaders of AMP’D Entertainment have been active chapter members for many years. With his new role as sole owner, Yarborough looks forward to continued participation in MPI Georgia with his team.

Active Production and Design Inc.:

Active Production and Design Inc. has been providing professional Audio-Visual services globally since 1993. We strive dutifully to provide the best possible service, while building positive, lasting relationships.

Active began from the place it still resides: A love for live events. Founder and President Matt Clouser was drumming in a band that played at many clubs all over the Metro Atlanta area, when lighting design piqued his interest. He was taken under the wing of a lighting designer who had worked with many notable A-list rock bands, including Van Halen. Using money set aside for college, Clouser took a risk and purchased a minimal supply of lighting gear. He began working his club contacts and managed to secure an agreement providing lighting gear on a long term basis. This early success would be short-lived, as the club closed unexpectedly and Clouser was left with the gear. Out of necessity, the decision was made to rent the gear and Active was officially born.

The minimal supply of gear quickly gave way to a larger supply of gear until Active became one of the largest suppliers in Atlanta. But gear alone would not be enough, production was at the heart of the company and Active’s primary focus. Crafting successful events became, and remains, the passion of Active Production and Design.

Active in the Event Community

For planners in the meeting and event industry, Active’s core competency is in event production, event design, and technical execution. They partner with clients to create an audio visual experience that will leave a lasting impression on guests and attendees. Client satisfaction and customer service is guaranteed at every level of interaction with the Active team.

Active Production and Design has partnered with many notable industry professionals, and make it a priority to impart the insight gained from these partnerships with event professionals, new and experienced. They often teach audio visual, lighting, marketing and event management techniques to hospitality industry students and to seasoned meeting planners.

Active has been featured in many industry publications, sharing their vast knowledge of audio visual and event design concepts. Their team members can often be seen at industry trade shows as continuing education on current event trends and technologies is paramount. Along with being a leader in the AV industry, Active is ever present in the hospitality and non-profit sector. They were recently awarded the Dale Riggings Humanitarian Award for dedicating their time to development of the hospitality market as well as the giving of their time and resources to a wide variety of nonprofit organizations. Active has also received numerous other awards for their dedication, professionalism and design in the industry.

Active participates heavily in green initiatives in the workplace through its use of an electronic forum for communication and database storage, ensuring that paper usage is at a minimum. They also have recycling programs that include the recycling of batteries and ink cartridges. Within their event productions, Active strives to reduce energy waste by utilizing LED lighting, recycled set materials, recalibrated audio equipment, and web conferencing whenever possible.
