Presented by: Megan Anderson is Executive Director at the Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta. She attended the University of Notre Dame and graduated with a Finance degree in 1999. From there she spent a year in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps. After her year of service, Megan worked at St. Elizabeth Catholic Worker, a homeless shelter for women and children in Chicago. She started as the GED and After school coordinator and then became Executive Director. In 2003, Megan relocated to Atlanta, graduated from Georgia State with her Masters in Social Work in 2005, and began her work at the Furniture Bank. Megan has been Executive Director of the Furniture Bank for 15 years. During her tenure, the Furniture Bank has increased the number of clients helped annually by approximately 40%.
