Do you struggle with communication and understanding your Industry partners? Join us on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 for a lively, tongue and cheek, tell-it-like-it-is discussion by a panel of your peers on best practices and get the nitty gritty on what your business partners really want.

Online registration will close at 11:59 PM on Thursday, May 12th. Please register before this time to ensure that we have space for you!

Onsite Fees:
Please note that MPI Georgia charges an additional $5 onsite fee for any registrations completed after the close of online pre-registration for the event.

Cancellations:

If you need to cancel your registration a full refund will be granted if cancellation is received in writing before Thursday, May 12. After that time there will be no refunds. Please send cancellation notice to info@mpigeorgia.org. Additionally, registration fees may not be applied or transferred to future events.

Substitutions:

If you have registered but are unable to attend the meeting, you may substitute another employee from your company at no additional charge. Please send written notification of this change before Thursday, May 12 to info@mpigeorgia.org. After that time, substitutions will need to be made onsite.

Sales and experiential marketing expert, Heather Munnell works with small businesses and international corporations to amplify communication and connection with their audiences. In addition to being a passionate sales and events strategist, Heather has 20 years of experience in delivering corporate events to Fortune 500 companies that include sponsorships, team building, and experiential event design for both live and virtual events. In her role as Director of Sales atVDA, Heather has played an integral part in developing a cohesive sales and marketing strategy for new product development. If there were a trivia game on Heather you may want to know: She has completed 10 triathlons, modeled in storefront windows, worked as a traffic cop and a singing waitress for a murder mystery cabaret. Learn from Heather as she looks back on past experiences to showcase how to move into the future.

Panel Member: Chris Yueh, CMP, Director of Programs - AIA

As Director of Programs for the Atlanta Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, Chris is driven by the challenge and reward that comes with planning and managing successful meeting and events for the association. To Chris, event planning is like a puzzle, and he is passionate about putting each piece together seamlessly including the preparation of contingency plans.

Before joining the local AIA chapter, Chris held many roles and positions from project manager to business development. Though his career path to meeting planner was not as direct or linear as imagined, he believes all his obtained work experiences has made himinto to the versatile, highly accomplished and goal-focused professional he is today.

Panel Member: Heather Herrig, CMP, President and Chief Event Strategist - Every Last Detail Events

For Heather, it’s all about bringing people together, and helping organizations achieve more as a result. Her planning philosophy is rooted in delivering, above all, strategic value – striving to make the most of every minute, interaction, and investment – for every event.

Heather is deeply committed to the meetings and events industry and seizes each opportunity to give back. She has served on the Board of MPI (Meeting Professionals International) Georgia Chapter, contributes to the SPIN (Senior Planners Industry Network) community, and is on the teaching team for Emory University’s Continuing Education Certificate in Event Planning, where she has discovered a deep passion for mentoring the next generation of event professionals. Most recently, she has joined the Board of Advisors for the Alliance of Independent Meeting Professionals.

In addition, she has co-created The Business Bootcamp for Independent Planners, which builds on her passion to support this industry’s entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Heather’s achievements within the hospitality industry are recognized by BizBash, as she was named to their list of the Top 500 Most Influential Event Professionals.

Panel Member: Steve M. Moore, Director of Special Event Sales - Fox Theatre

Steve’s career in Live Events has spanned over two decades and his work has been featured in many national publications including The Knot, Martha Stewart, Ebony, and People Magazine. He believes ‘giving back’ is a must in the event industry. His hospitality career began with A Divine Event Catering Company where he earned “top seller” in his Account Executive role.

With his accumulating expertise, Steve later joined Palate Catering & Design as Managing Partner, managing a team of six, including the culinary and operation departments, he also managed the day-to-day operations for the Venetian Room. In 2019, Steve joined AFFAIRS to REMEMBER as Account Manager and quickly established new accounts and grew full event production opportunities.

Steve tells us, “The Fox Theatre was the first Atlanta landmark that I ever attended when I moved here in 1991. I remember thinking how iconic that moment was and I’m excited to contribute my skills and talents to further produce monumental events there.

Panel Member: Ever Clavel, Senior Production Specialist / Account Rep - Active Production and Design

  Ever Clavel

Ever Clavel is a Senior Production Specialist and our Account Representative for some of the most notable venues in Atlanta. Ever joined the Active team in 2015 and comes to us by way of Los Angeles, CA. It is in California where he spent his first five years after college working in the banking industry. Providing unparalleled customer service and account management was key during these years. It is this background that allowed Ever to excel once he joined the Event Industry in 2009, the attention to detail, the client relations, it all combined into the perfect fit to deal with the ever changing event needs. He now serves as Active’s Production Specialist and runs the gamut between small social events to large corporate meetings. His ability to react and adjust to changes along with his infectious smile make for very happy clients! Ever has been in the industry close to a decade and has never looked back. In his free time, he enjoys drawing natural habitats, trail walking and the occasional bowling night.
 

Panel Member: Dwayne Keller, Senior Sales Manager, INTERCONTINENTAL of BUCKHEAD ATLANTA

Experienced Director Of Group Sales with a demonstrated history of working in the hospitality industry. Skilled in Catering, Sales, Hospitality Industry, Event Management, and Leisure Industry. Strong sales professional with a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) focused in Hotel, Motel, and Restaurant Management from James Madison University.
