Exiting times ahead for MPI Toronto – A message from our Board of Directors

By: Published by MPI Toronto Chapter | Aug 8, 2023

July 1st starts a new year for the MPI Boards and Committees internationally and here in Toronto.  A new cycle has begun. New opportunities, ideas and challenges lie ahead for our Board of Directors. We asked a few of them to tell us, in a few words, what do they hope to accomplish as a new Toronto Chapter Board member. Here is what they said:

Erinn Young, VEMM, HVED
Vice President Finance & Special Projects

What do you hope to achieve in the upcoming year as part of the MPI Toronto Chapter Board?

As the Director of Strategic Partnerships, I wish to achieve greater visibility through our current strong partnership while seeking opportunities that include supporting local and diverse organizations that will be impactful for our members.

Tami Adams
Vice President, Membership

What do you hope toachieve in the upcoming year as part of the MPI Toronto Chapter Board?

To bring and show the true value of MPI and what being a member can offer! I am the membership VP so this is my focus and I hope to refresh how awesome MPI Membership is!

Les Selby, CMP, CMM
Chair, Communications

What do you hope to achieve in the upcoming year as part of the MPI Toronto Chapter Board?

As Chair of Communications, I would like our committee to help the members obtain the maximum benefit from their Toronto Chapter by informing them of upcoming events, provide industry news they can use, and encourage industry networking so the meeting, incentive and special events industry can move forward together after the pandemic.

Marie-Chantal Thibault
Director, Education

What do you hope to achieve in the upcoming year as part of the MPI Toronto Chapter Board?

When asked this question, what comes to mind is giving back to a community that has continuously encouraged me to try new things – Comfort zone? Nope – breathe, believe, DIVE IN!

For that reason, as this year’s Director of Education, I hope that I can inspire others towards the same empowerment and growth I’ve been fortunate to experience by offering support and guidance to team PD/GMID, composed of an incredible band of motivated volunteers, already working behind the scenes with a focus of providing valuable education and resources to help stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.

At the end of June 2024 – Personal achievement wish?  To have successfully led with empathy and to have inspired others, professionally and/or personally.
