Part 3: Anthony Vade, FMAV

High of the Week:
How our industry has banded together and connected online.  I've had conversations with people I have not spoken to in years. It has been nice to reconnect and collaborate our way out of this mess.

Low of the Week:
Every time someone does not turn their camera on during a virtual meeting.  It might be a bad hair day, but it still makes me feel like you are not paying attention to the people in the meeting.

One Thing I'm Grateful For:
Video Meetings, I have been working with a remote team for the last 5 years. It's nice to have a head start in this new paradigm and great to see new people adopting the technology. It is a valuable tool, more people should use, now and into the future.  Goodbye telephone conference calls!

Lesson Learned from recent events:
Our industry is too myopic to be future proof. No one predicted this situation (aside from Bill Gates). We all dismissed virtual events as a waste of money.  We should have taken them more seriously and experimented with them before we needed them so desperately. #Eventprofs live in the present too much and are too slow to innovate towards the future. I look forward to helping people expand their thinking after this is over.
