Join us for an enriching virtual DEI Lunch and Learn session commemorating the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, a key component of the MPI Toronto and adn speakers DE&I event series. This gathering aims to educate, inspire, and foster meaningful conversations about Indigenous history, culture, and reconciliation within the meetings and events industry.

This interactive forum encourages active participation through discussion and Q&A, promoting a deeper understanding of Indigenous perspectives and their importance in our professional context.

No prior preparation is required. The session will be led by our DE&I committee and guest adn speaker.

In this session we will explore:

  • The story of Mélanie Paul
  • Understanding Truth and Reconciliation
  • Indigenous protocols and cultural awareness
  • Implementing reconciliation practices
  • Q&A with industry experts

About Mélanie Paul:
CEO of Mocassins et Talons Hauts and Akua Nature, Mélanie brings over 22 years of experience bridging Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities through business, education, and storytelling. Her work with major organizations like Hydro-Québec, Desjardins, and Rio Tinto showcases her powerful ability to foster reconciliation and mutual respect.

Let’s gather to learn, reflect, and take steps together in the spirit of unity.
