*DEI tidbit #1: Pronouns** 
Why do we offer pronouns at registration and email signatures? MPI Minnesota is dedicated to creating a culture where everyone feels included.  One way to foster this culture is to not create assumptions about an individual or group. Listing pronouns removes the assumption based on name, sound of voice, look and overall demeanor about someone’s gender. 

**DEI tidbit #2: Recognizing Land Acknowledgement at Events**
At the beginning of your events, consider adding a land acknowledgement. A Land Acknowledgement is a formal statement that recognizes and respects Indigenous Peoples as traditional stewards of this land and the enduring relationship that exists between Indigenous Peoples and their traditional territories. To recognize the land is an expression of gratitude and appreciation to those whose territory you reside on, and a way of honoring the Indigenous people who have been living and working on the land from time immemorial.
