Chapter Leadership Summit 2024
All 2025 Chapter Leaders will be invited to attend the virtual Chapter Leadership Summit on Thursday, September 12, 2024. Please mark your calendars now and include this date in your Nomination Process to ensure new Board members attend this important training session. Complete details will be shared as they are finalized in the Chapter Leader Newsletter.
President's Dinner at WEC Louisville
The current Chapter President will be invited to attend the President's Dinner at WEC Louisville on May 21 with a complimentary ticket. Be on the lookout for a special invite which will be sent as we get closer to the event. Should any other Chapter members want to purchase a ticket to attend, more details can be found here. Complimentary tickets are non-transferable.
Reminder: New Board Attendance Policy
As a reminder, a new Board Attendance Policy has been included in the current MPI Chapter Policies. The policy can be found in Article IV, Section 2, 2.5. if you have not read the current Bylaws and Policies which are under revision to add local Chapter policies, you can find the base document here: CLRP > Office of the President > Governance.

MPI Business Membership
In 2023, MPI revitalized Business Memberships, introducing new tools, updating the webpage, and refreshing branding. Notably, 45% of memberships in this vertical were secured in 2023. MPI Business Membership provides cost-saving benefits for planners and suppliers, with tailored options for businesses employing multiple meeting professionals. Membership levels are determined by the number of individuals, simplifying invoicing. The entry point for Business Membership is five members, ensuring accessibility for businesses of varying sizes. These enhancements have driven growth, making Business Membership a valuable resource for meeting and event professionals. February Membership Update
Reminder: May 1 Compliance Documents Due
As shared at Mid-Year Retreats and in previous communication, all MPI Chapters are submitting a revised Budget, Business Plan and Calendar to include the period through December 31, 2024, along with the updated Chapter Bylaws and Policy Manuals. These documents will be sent to your Regional Operations Manager on or before May 1.

Receptions and Meet-Ups at WEC Louisville
Need assistance selecting a location for your after-hours chapter reception or meet-up during WEC in Louisville? If you are planning to schedule chapter meetups/receptions/etc., please do so on Tuesday, May 21. The General Session ends at 5:00pm and the President’s Dinner begins with a reception at 6:45pm.

Anti-Human Trafficking Ambassadors Starting Outreach Soon
Hello Chapter Leaders! Please be on the lookout for an email from your Anti-Human Trafficking Ambassador, which will contain information about hosting your AHT meeting for the 2024 year. The Ambassadors will provide you with guidance and best practices for hosting your meeting; reminder that including one 30-minute anti-human trafficking meeting is required for all Chapters this year. We look forward to connecting with our Chapter leaders on this very important topic!
