Greg Elam

Meeting Industry Leadership

Greg Elam has a career that has spanned over 50 years in the meeting industry. He was a founding member of the MPI D/FW chapter and served as chapter president in 1980. Greg has served on numerous MPI Global committees, has served on the International Board of Directors, and was even in charge of the very first national conference for MPI in 1979. He has presented his knowledge and experiences in conferences locally, nationally and internationally, continually advocating for the value of meetings, and demonstrating to meeting professionals how they can showcase the value of meetings to their stakeholders as well as their personal value to their business. He has been a featured speaker for MPI and other professional organizations including PCMA and PRSA.

Greg has mentored countless current and past leaders of the industry and MPI both locally and nationally and has advocated diversity and inclusion throughout his career. His numerous contributions to the industry make him an incredible advocate, and his career journey shows how he was there to first ensure that meetings and events were recognized as an industry, and finally to foster its growth. MPI would not be the organization we see today without Greg and his many contributions.
