The bi-annual Chapter Demographics Report/Data Recovery Report is now available via the CLRP under the Chapter Metrics area. This report provides a snapshot of your chapter’s membership profile and useful information for developing sponsorship prospectus. A quick reminder that this report is only updated twice a year, in January and July.
Check out this recent article from ASAE: Where Boards Should Put Their Focus in 2024
Key takeaway: “What makes board service attractive to the most diverse, creative, strategic, and tech-savvy leaders possible? If your board doesn’t have a good answer to that question, a good new year’s resolution for 2024 is to get on the path to finding one.”
The FY2023-2024 Chapter Awards call will be taking place in the Spring of 2025 and as reminder, please note that only chapters that are in full compliance with the MPI Chapter Bylaws and MPI Chapter Policy Manual are eligible to earn an award and incentive metric points (which can be redeemed for different certificates to be used by the chapters). To qualify for the Top Performing Award, chapters will need to achieve High Performing status in 6 out of the 7 metric areas. To qualify for the Chapter of Excellence Award, chapters will need to achieve High Performing status in 7 out of the 7 metric areas.

If your Chapter is celebrating a milestone year (5, 10, 15 years, etc.) and would like to request a Chapter Milestone Logo, please submit your request via the new link provided on the CLRP Marketing and Communication tile under the Marketing Resources section: https://www.mpi.org/admin/chapter-documents/marketing-and-communication Please allow two months for production.
The Chapter Policy Manual circulated to all MPI Chapters (dated August 1, 2023) has language pertaining to the Reserve Funds which now clarifies that these funds should be used for emergency situations only. Previous versions of the Chapter Policy Manual allowed Reserve Funds to be used for emergency cases or in the event of an investment by the Chapter to further its mission. Use of Reserve Funds for investments into the Chapter is still allowed by using a Board Resolution vote to move money to an investment or project account. Clarification on how this should be done and a template for a Board Resolution Vote are available on the CLRP > Office of the President > Governance > Reserve Fund Clarification
Bring value to your members each and every month by adding MPI Academy weekly webinars to your Chapter website. When you showcase a webinar that doesn’t compete with your Chapter education schedule or other chapter events, your members will find more value in their membership. Offering more education – that you don’t need to plan - will help your member retention rate because they found this opportunity on your chapter website.
Tip: Find a month on your Chapter Calendar with no education offered. Copy/paste the webinar details from the MPI Academy page and a direct link to the registration page.
