Mauna Lani, Hawaii

Mauna Lani recently opened along the Kohala coast on the Island of Hawai’i after a US$200 million, resort-wide renovation. It is the first Auberge Resorts Collection property in the Hawaiian market and offers 333 guest rooms and suites, five restaurants and lounges, a spa, two golf courses and onsite group venues on 32 oceanfront acres.

Station Casinos, Nevada

Station Casinos has unveiled wide-ranging room renovations at its Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa (Las Vegas) and Green Valley Ranch Casino Resort & Spa (Henderson, Nev.) locations. More than 700 deluxe king and deluxe double queen rooms and 55 Signature Suites have been transformed into “modern, desert oasis-inspired getaways” of up to 1,030 square feet at Red Rock. Both The Strip and Presidential Suites now feature a “unique sensory experience for the premier guest” and go up to 2,750 square feet at Green Valley Ranch.

Hyatt Regency Manchester, England

The 212-room Hyatt Regency Manchester (England) and 116-room Hyatt House Manchester opened recently in the city’s landmark building “The Lume,” representing a significant milestone for Hyatt’s brand growth in the U.K. and the debut of Hyatt’s extended stay segment, the Hyatt House brand. Hyatt Regency Manchester offers 212 guest rooms and suites and seven meeting rooms. Hyatt House Manchester offers 116 studios and one-bedroom suites and two small event spaces: The Conservatory and The Living Room.

AC Hotels by Marriott has announced the newest addition to its Atlanta portfolio, the 222-room AC Hotel Atlanta Airport Gateway, with plans to open this winter in the developing Gateway Center in College Park beside the Georgia International Convention Center and a few steps off of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport’s ATL SkyTrain.

Visit Salt Lake, Salt Lake County, Portman Holdings and Hyatt Hotels Corp. announced the plans, timeline and details for the Salt Lake convention center hotel during a groundbreaking ceremony on Jan. 10. The 700-room Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City will be built adjacent to the Salt Palace Convention Center’s public space. The 25-floor property will offer 60,000 square feet of indoor meeting space—including the 23,138-square-foot Regency Ballroom and a 14,682-square-foot junior ballroom—as well as 7,400 square feet of outdoor event space. The project is scheduled to be completed in October 2022.

The Holiday Inn Lima (Peru) Miraflores hotel has debuted in the seaside neighborhood of Miraflores. Steps from Kennedy Park, the 17-story hotel is surrounded by dining, entertainment and shopping venues, as well as several cultural attractions such as the Amano, Pre-Columbian Textile Museum and Huaca Huallamarcam, a renowned archeological site. It features 200 guest rooms and 3,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

The 120-room Cedartree Hotel will offer guests a Japanese-style experience featuring a variety of unique amenities such as a sake bar, an onsen stone bath and a Japanese View Garden when it debuts in Hillsboro, Ore., in early 2021. It will also include 2,500 square feet of meeting space.
