Following EMEC19 conference in The Netherlands, MPI hosted a European Roadshow, with stops, Brussels, Belgium, in Köln, Germany, and London, England.  MPI leadership traveled throughout Europe to meet with industry leaders and influencers to share industry trends, research, tips and the value of MPI member networking and educational opportunities.

The senior leadership team, including Paul Van Deventer MPI CEO & President, COO Darren Temple, Nicole Edmund MPI VP Community, IBOD chair Steve O’Malley, along with MPI International Board of Directors liaison Miguel Neves and MPI staff liaison Federico Toja, started the European road show Feb. 12 in The Hague, followed by visits to chapters in Brussels, Cologne and London. Van Deventer said the plan is to align future road shows with other meetings when the team is in Europe.

“One of the pieces of feedback we got [prior to the MPI Roadshow] was we needed to increase the presence of the MPI Global staff in Europe to get out and about,” van Deventer said.

Van Deventer and Temple outlined MPI’s European market strategy and upcoming innovative educational and networking opportunities in the event industry. The MPI European Roadshow aimed to increase European membership participation at MPI educational and networking events and promote awareness and advocacy of the community’s impact on the worldwide stage.
