Welcome to Toronto and WEC19!

Jun 13, 2019

On behalf of the MPI team and our partners at the Toronto Convention and Visitors Bureau, we are thrilled to have you with us for the biggest shared experience our industry has to offer.

For those of you who were with us last year in Indy, you know that we set the bar high as we reimagined what an association conference can be—trying new concepts and taking risks with the design and execution of the event. Based on your feedback, it was a tremendous success—so much so that we recently received recognition as the best global Association Meeting by Eventex.

This year's theme, “Stop Planning Meetings, Start Designing Shared Experiences,” brings back and builds on the successes you enjoyed and were inspired by. Short-format, high-energy general sessions, open-floor village environments, networking events and interactive business exchanges are just the start!

Each day will provide you with the ability to share something new. Whether it’s knowledge or connections, cutting-edge technology or individual growth, we’ve paved your experience with pathways to become enlightened alongside your colleagues.

It’s all packed into a format that includes more than 80 concurrent education sessions delivered in 30-, 60- and 90-minute mixed formats, covering topics including career development, technology trends, leadership and so much more. Each session is designed to engage and inspire, while providing the opportunity to earn 18.75 clock hours!

From the opening and closing night celebrations to networking luncheons, the President’s Dinner and the MPI Foundation’s Rendezvous, we’ve got plenty of networking events that will help you build your industry connections while having fun. We also have our Hosted Buyer Program, areas for networking and business exchanges, sustainability activities and, my personal favorite, puppy cuddling (aka Paws for a Break).

Thank you for sharing this journey with us at WEC19 and being part of the MPI community. Now together, let’s learn, explore and enjoy our time here in Toronto!
